Written Summary:

Everybody these days has a DVD on grappling conditioning. I have already reviewed the king of these DVDs with Martin Rooney’s Training for Warriors and another good one by Juan Carlos Santrana. Now comes the Diesel Crew’s DVD. I will be honest the quality of the DVD is not going to win them and Oscar for cinematography or sound editing. Some of the speaking on the DVD looks like a Hong Kong kung fu flick with the words and picture out of sync. I want to be fair though, their heart is in the right place and they do show some different and very innovative exercises that you can do with your grappling partner that I am sure will take your game to the next level. Covered in the DVD are a series of exercises for explosive upper body and lower body training. There are wall walking exercises from beginner to advanced, partner lifts, carries, presses and resisted climbs and crawls. The individual exercises are then grouped together into complexes where you put it altogether into a routine. The only one I was hesitant about is bear climbing down a flight of stairs. I’m brave but not that brave. The Diesel crew was Initially hesitant about sending me their DVD because they thought it might not live up to the DVDs already on the market. The price of the DVD two disc set is pretty inexpensive, $29.95 each one, and if you are a grappler looking for that extra edge this could be it. These guys also have a great website Diesel Crew .com which is all about strength training which is how I originally found out about their DVD. If you are a grappler or just want to get really strong and conditioned for your martial art, I say buy it.
