Written Summary:

Considering the huge number of grappling videos that are available, it is easy to forget that Judo has been in the US at least since the end of World War II, and was one of the original grappling arts introduced to the US from Asia. The techniques shown on this video are primarily competition techniques that can be applied in randori (sparring). They primarily consist of ground grappling and emphasize controlling your opponent while both of you are on the ground. There are a large number of techniques presented here and there is very little fluff or wasted time. Many of the techniques appeared to lack verbal explanation, which I feel would have made this video more useful as a teaching tool. As a result of this lack of explanation, it is quite possible that beginners might have a hard time learning and applying some of these moves correctly.

This video would probably be best suited for people who already have some grappling experience and are seeking to add some new moves to their arsenal.
