Written Summary:
This video was a nice
surprise. It consists of judo competition techniques and deals exclusively with chokes
and armlocks. Most of the choking techniques involve using the opponent's gi against
him which may be a problem in some street applications depending on what the potential
opponent is wearing. However the armlocks shown on this tape were very good and very
street effective. Experienced grapplers will have seen most if not all of these chokes
and armlocks but this is still an outstanding video for the money. Unlike volume
1 in this series, Professor Higashi does a much better job of explaining the fine
points of each technique yet there is virtually no wasted time or fluff on this video.
The video is well produced
This video is definitely geared for beginning
to intermediate students of the grappling arts and will make an outstanding addition
to anyone's video library. It's one of the better buys around considering the number
of techniques shown versus its cost.
