Written Summary:
First off let me say
that the "Speed Man" is fast, there's no doubt about it. Yes, he can probably
hit a guy 20 times in one second, but it's ALOT simplier than you think. We've all
seen the full page ads about "Speed Hitting" in our favorite martial arts
magazine. Now let me tell you how you too can SPEED HIT. Put both your hands up by
your uki's face, one hand by each check, with only the finger part of each hand touching
your uki's cheeks, now alternate going back and forth in a slapping motion with both
hands VERY RAPIDLY, criss cross both hands as you do this, making sure you slap with
the palm side and backside of each hand. It may take a little coordination to get
the criss crossing of each hand, along with the palm side and back side down, but
now you too can SPEED HIT someone. Will that hurt a guy? I seriously doubt it. It'll
surely get his attention, but IMHO, it won't drop him. Even with LaTourette doing
it, whose like 6'4", it appeared to lack any serious power. I felt it was pretty,
but mainly for show. Wasn't what I was expecting, but the tape did have some speed
drills that might be helpful. With all the slapping going on, I felt I was watching
Moe, Larry and Curly. I was very disappointed with the actual usefulness of the material.
My opinion: Watch once, make notes, and record over it.
