Written Summary:

I know that we review instructional DVDs, but sometimes the instruction is in watching competitive poetry in motion. Five Points Fitness is one of the premier training centers for Muay Thai and Kali in America. Competitors from around the world have fought at events staged by Five Points Fitness. This two disc DVD set is a compilation of over three hours of Muay Thai fights shot in famous Soho in New York City. The first few fights are shot in black and white giving it a Raging Bull kind of feel. The remaining is shot in color. Professionally filmed and edited with an interactive menu it really showcases Muay Thai in America. The sport attracts just as many girls as guys as evidenced by the fights. The old saying, hits like a girl brings on a whole new meaning watching them fight. At this stage of my life, I prefer to experience my Mauy Thai at either a nice ringside seat or in the comfort of my living room chair. You really see what it takes to get into the ring, viewing these amazing athletes. The money is not really there yet for Mauy Thai fighters like it is in boxing. They are obviously fighting out of love for the art. Good for them and good for the folks at Five Points Fitness for getting the art of Muay Thai out there. Will this make you a better fighter? The answer is yes, in that you see what you need to do in order to perform at such a high level. This DVD is a great barometer on how your training stacks up to the competitive athletes you are watching. If you like seeing the real deal, then I highly recommend this DVD.
